I’m in awe and in such appreciation for the powerful comments I received from many women about this week’s topic – money.
Being ambitious like us can get very challenging at times. As a woman who created her own business, there is a lot I wish I would have known my first year.
I did what a lot of women do their first year.
- I didn’t feel confident enough to run my own business or to charge what I was worth.
- I hired the wrong people which lead me to lose trust. I stopped hiring people and decided to take care of my business all by myself.
- I struggled to set boundaries with clients and staff.
- I soon realized, it takes a village to create a business.
- I bounced between creating a website, branding, developing offerings and spending all my energy on getting clients in the door.
These blocks I was experiencing were issues I was having with my feminine energy.
Deep inside I knew that in order to be successful, to eliminate blocks and create abundance I needed to tap into something bigger and stronger than myself. Later I learned this was my feminine power.
So instead of getting a business manager or virtual assistant, I invested in receiving help with my feminine. (Today, I still invest in the feminine.) I will be honest, I spent a lot of money on programs with brilliant coaches and it so paid off. These coaches were excellent models of what women in business could be.
One coach was completely 100% vulnerable. She showed me the behind-the-scenes of the not so “glamorous” parts of her life as she was building her business. Thanks to her I was able to avoid some seriously troublesome situations.
This also opened my eyes to what’s possible as a woman and by the time I learned and set up the business structures, my business took off.
Here’s the deal, it required for me to invest not only on my business but on myself. The thing about the feminine is that is subtle. It doesn’t feel like much is happening and all of a sudden BOOM, it does.
What I’m about to share might shock you, we are not used to being so transparent…but this is how I became the successful woman I am today and how you can truly open yourself to create your own success.
This is how much I’ve invested in myself and my business throughout the years:
In 2011 I invested $45,000.
In 2012 I invested $30,000.
In 2013 I invested $42,000.
In 2014 I invested $75,000.
In 2015 I invested $35,000.
In 2016 I invested $16,000 so far.
Did I have the money for these investments?
Not always.
Did I require to take a leap of faith?
YES.
Did the money show up to pay for these investments?
Always.
Now, this is the reason I hesitate to talk about money this way.
I know some women who have invested in programs and coaches thinking they would walk away with having immediate success.
There are many women within the coaching industry that feel sincerely deceived.
It is not my intention to make you feel like if you work with me it is going to be all rainbows and unicorns. The feminine journey is a very courageous one.
Here’s what I know.
When we are not in our power as women, when we are out of alignment with our truth, we can make a lot of wrong choices and investments.
And my mission is to assist you in exactly that, being in your power and aligned with your truth.
The reason why I’m sharing this with you is because I want to show you that abundance and money isn’t all about having the best website, or spending thousands on Facebook ads. On the surface your business is about strategy and marketing, but it is also about YOU.
To truly receive and to have the abundant life of your dreams you have to be willing to take a big leap. Whether you have a business or you desire to be successful in your career you have to be willing and ready to invest in yourself.
As an ambitious woman, who wants to build a beautiful business, having fulfilling relationships and manifest abundance, you are also required to do your feminine work.
