The BEST way I KNOW to instantly connect with pleasure…

Have you ever felt hesitant to expressing your beauty in public?

I have a fun story to share, where I almost felt like Meg Ryan in the movie “When Harry met Sally”.

My husband and I celebrated the ceremony of our second wedding anniversary this past Monday. That day we landed in Mendoza, the Argentinian wine country early morning. After a beautiful siesta and a glass of Malbec offered by the hotel we are staying at, we had reservations at a 6 course meal restaurant. I don’t remember the last time I participated in an experience like this, so I was very excited for that as you can imagine.

The starters were delicious, I tried things I’ve never tasted in my life. All of my senses were ignited at different levels and in different ways all at the same time. The food looked so beautiful, it was a such delight. In the past, I would have not allowed myself to pay attention to this details and better yet, to fully enjoy them, but NOT this time.

Here in Argentina, eating steak is a MUST, so I ordered the lomo (fillet minon) as the main entree. OMG, I was surprised that the presentation was not as glamorous as the other dishes…but let me tell you, the flavor was out of this world. I couldn’t help but to feel the decadence in each bite bursting in my mouth.

As I couldn’t help but to be very open about expressing to Rob the pleasure I was feeling by eating such a delicious meal, I noticed two couples next to us started to look at me somewhat confused. I didn’t feel any critical looks, it was more like “what’s going on over there?” Immediately after, the man on the table right across from us called the waiter and changed his order to the steak I was having… I feel deep inside he was saying “I want what she is having,” just like in the movie “When Harry met Sally”. If you’ve never watch that movie, you must!

Yes, the steak was delicious, and there’s something magical that happens when a woman connects with pleasure and beauty without apologizing for it. Not only she attracts more of it into her life, she also ignites others to do the same.

As a coach I have helped many women reconnect with this piece of beauty and pleasure since in most societies expressing yourself fully and unapologetically has been seen as wrong, dirty and dangerous, does this sound familiar Paula

The good news is that we live in a modern world that is allowing us to be more open and being authentic is not such a taboo anymore. Most of the work that needs to be done is to clean up the mess and redefine how you want to be in the world as a woman from now on. You know what? This modern world YOU have the opportunity to live authentically being YOU and NOT who you though you SHOULD be.
