Self Care “MUSTS” for travel

How do you keep up with your SELF CARE while you travel?

Let me tell you, being on the road for the last couple of months has been a great reminder of how easily I can let go of taking care of myself while I travel. Feeling in my power with my body makes all of the difference for me. This is not about deprivation, it is about providing my body with what it needs on a regular basis and allowing space for enjoyment and pleasure as well.
Now being in Buenos Aires, Argentina, its allowing me to reconnect with my roots in many ways. One of the ways is being around my loving family and friends, another big one is FOOD. This is where I have to be careful because I used to NOT trust my body when it comes to food. With time and a lot of inner work, I learned that by providing self care in many other “nourishing” ways, I was able to find balance, peace and well being within me.

My self care “MUSTS” when it comes to travel
You might also feel inspired to add this into your daily routine, I highly recommend it!
  • HOT WATER WITH LEMON first thing in the morning. This will not only help your liver, it is also very soothing for your mind and soul. It is very easy to do, you can ask for lemons at the hotel where you are staying.
  • EXERCISE: Finding a hotel that has a gym or finding a yoga studio for me is key. Even better, you can find a park or a place where you can exercise. This will support your body in so many ways and make your stay more enjoyable and guilt free.
  • SPA/MASSAGE/FACIAL: To me finding a spa is one of the funnest things to do when I get to a location. I LOVE to get pampered and try different therapists around the globe….AND my body and soul feel amazing!
  • FLOWERS: I also LOVE finding flower markets or collecting flowers from the area and place them all over where I am staying. This connects me with beauty and femininity and makes me feel very in tuned with myself.
I look forward to hearing how you can commit to apply this “MUSTS” in your next trip or even in your current life!
