It is so fun to be here at home in Buenos Aires and still get to experience exactly the same customs I used to experience growing up.
In Buenos Aires, Saturdays are dedicated to a woman’s femininity through beauty. Growing up, I remember going with my mom to the hair salon, then shopping for clothes at the commercial area in my neighborhood; or having the manicurist come to our home to get our nails done.
This morning we had the taylor come to the house because a few tops and two dresses needed to altered.
It’s interesting how I totally forgot about having someone come to the house and provide for a service in the luxury of your home! I know you are thinking this is AMAZING!! I am not sure this happens in many places around the world , but what I DO know is how it feels to be fully connected to my beauty and be supported as a woman in this way.
I know that in the busy-ness sometimes it is easy to forget. Most of us women are taught that we have to do EVERYTHING on our own and we don’t realize how much energy it takes from us and how much by doing this, we deprive ourselves from pure enjoyment in our lives.
